Maresa von Stockert will work in close collaboration with seven outstanding performers: Lucas Bergandi (tight wire; from CNAC); Stephanie McMann & Beth Powlesland (amongst many other projects featured in Tilted’s SEASAW); Laura Smith & Mark Pieklo (trampoline; previously with Cirque Plume) and David Vossen (clown & dancer; recently in Mor Shani’s Flatland; Pink Umbrella Company).
The set has been created in collaboration with French scenographer Fabrice Deperrois of Les Plastiqueurs and Tilted’s production manager Jeremy Cox with structural engineering by Jason Tucker of Maltbury Staging.
The sound design containing originally composed as well as existing pieces of music is by Oliver Thomas.

A tightwire artist, two dancers, a trampoline duo and a dancing clown meet on an architectural set that depicts a derelict building’s rooftop.

While delicate relationships tenderly and brutally entwine, a strange transformation happens to the roof itself enhancing the sense of a warped reality and other worldliness unfolding.

Fragile was on an extensive national and international tour from May until September 2013: 32 performances in 3 different countries (UK, France and Denmark) with audiences reaching altogether over nearly 18 000 people! The tour included:

In addition to Tilted Productions’ support from Arts Council, England, this project is commissioned by PASS – Circus Channel, an European network between UK and France, with La Brèche, Pôle National des Arts du Cirque de Base-Normandie (Cherbourg – Octeville) and SeaChange Arts, an Arts Development and Promotion Agency (Great Yarmouth) acting as co-producers together with Atelier 231, Centre National des Arts de la Rue and Viva Cité Festival (Sotteville-les-Rouen).

This performance has received a Creation aid by the IN  SITU network, in the frame of the META project. This project has been funded with support from the European Commission (DGEAC – Culture programme)

It is supported by Crying Out Loud (London) where Maresa is currently Associate Artist.
