Tilted Productions is committed to supporting the development of performers and artists, and committed to encouraging the development of emerging and early career artists.
We regularly work with apprentices on our productions and, when holding open auditions for new productions, we actively encourage recent graduates to apply. We also regularly recruit emerging artists to work alongside established company members. All members of the intergenerational company are encouraged and supported to develop, widen and share their skills within the creation and performance process.
As part of Tilted’s commitment to development within the sector, Maresa von Stockert and other company members, often mentor emerging and early career artists. Tilted can also offer talks, lectures and workshops at universities, conferences and in training contexts. These can be tailored to the needs of individual organisations and groups. We also run workshops for dance and vocational students. More information here.
“I think it is fair to say that dance is generally considered the preserve of the young, fit and ‘body beautiful’, so to be able to perform in Tilted Productions’ latest offering Belonging(s), as my 65th birthday approaches, has been a hugely exciting, challenging, and stimulating experience for me! It has literally helped ‘keep me on my toes’ and fulfilled a lifelong love affair with movement and dance.”
