Tilted Productions creates playful yet challenging cross art form collaborations rooted in the world of contemporary dance and inspired by social, environmental and political observations. Led by Artistic Director and choreographer Maresa von Stockert, the company’s work combines movement, physical theatre, sound and performance art.
Tilted Productions return to the stage after 6 years creating outdoor work with an exciting new production Constructions of Thin Air, touring from Spring 2018. The new work merges contemporary dance, physical theatre and unusual use of everyday objects to create shifting architectural landscapes that provoke thoughts about place and identity. Constructions of Thin Air 2018/19 tour dates and booking information. This new work evolved from the company’s acclaimed outdoor promenade piece BELONGING(s), which toured nationally and internationally from 2015-17.
Also touring 2017/18 is Tilted’s inaugural photo exhibition, Tilted Framed, which gives a glimpse into the company’s performance work since 2002. The exhibition features unique photographs from the company’s past and current productions as well as artist responses to rehearsals and performances in charcoal, chalk and pencil. “Maresa von Stockert has a choreographic sensibility that’s all her own, a mix of intellectual and sensory scrupulousness that makes her work strikingly original”
